Serving the Song

A 5-week songwriting course with Becca Stevens: an empowering, song-serving, inspiration-rooted approach to writing songs.

This is my flagship songwriting course: a five-week adventure designed for 16 participants to empower your writing, calm the critic, and reveal the muse. You’ll not only write new songs but also learn how to build sustainable practices that carry your creativity forward long after the course ends. This course is for all ages, all levels, all backgrounds, and all styles.

Over five weeks, you’ll be guided through lessons, prompts, and song-shares that help you build momentum, shape your ideas, and finish what you started. The class is designed as a safe, inspiring space where you can take risks, stay accountable, and grow alongside other writers. Each session weaves together live teaching, supportive feedback, and practical exercises, so that by the end you’ll not only have new songs, but also a toolkit to keep creating and a community to keep you company on the road ahead.

Album Architect

A five-week intensive mentorship for six artists developing their next record

Album Architect is a five-week creative incubator for six artists (by application) who meet with me weekly to face challenges, gain clarity, and develop their new record.

I’ll be serving as a remote producer and mentor, listening to drafts, offering detailed feedback, and helping each artist move through creative and industry challenges with the same attention I give in the studio.

Our intimate group will create a protected, generative space where each album can thrive and be nurtured by the small, committed community we will be for one another.

Album Architect is my most intimate, exclusive and hands on course offering to date. I built this course from my own album making toolbox, weaving together decades of skills, practices, and the guidance I’ve relied on most. I designed this course to fill the exact role I long for during my own album-making process: a steady, trusted guide who understands both the creative and logistical weight of the journey.

What You’ll Experience
The Close-Knit Community Effect:

Between sessions we’ll stay connected through a private shared platform. This is where so much of the magic happens: you’ll be able to upload drafts as you go, encouraged by your cohorts and inspired by the added fire of accountability.

Here in this shared platform we will listen to each other’s drafts and I’ll be leaving feedback in real time (not just during our in-person meetings). In other words, your Album Architects and I will be in your corner for the entirety of the 5 weeks, helping you shape your project as it unfolds.

Because your fellow cohorts are facing the same challenges and breakthroughs, the shared platform becomes a hub for accountability through camaraderie, and a sounding board that keeps the process alive between sessions.

This shared space stays open to all six Album Architects even after the program ends, allowing you to walk away with a community that keeps supporting your projects long past the five weeks.

Also includes :
Two One-on-One Private Lessons (With Becca)
  • In addition to five weekly sessions over a span of 6 weeks, the course also includes two one-on-one lessons with me. These are personalized check-ins where we’ll focus directly on your work, your goals, and any hurdles you’re facing in the album-making process.

Very special guest visits

  • Throughout the course of our sessions together we’ll welcome guests who shed light on the full spectrum of album-making. This will include very special guest visit discussions on:

  • Production, engineering, studio workflow & finishing songs

  • Label hunt, and building a team

  • Publicity & marketing strategies for building visibility

  • Touring, sustainability, and getting music heard

My Mission

In an age when so much of the album creation and release process happens at home and on the artist’s shoulders, my hope is that this incubator provides the production support and mentorship that’s missing, from the seed of the songs all the way through label search, publicity, and release planning. It’s an honor to get to walk alongside artists as they bring their art out of their dreams and into the world. I cannot wait to share this adventure with you!

Testimonials

Becca is an inspiring and super talented human! I was a huge fan of her music before and now that I had the chance to interact with her and learn from her I’m also a big fan of her as a person! Every aspiring songwriter should learn from her and I’m glad I had this privilege.

Giulia

As an instrumentalist, I've never written lyrics before, so this was my first venture into this new world. Becca provided so many techniques and ideas about how to develop lyrics as well as an excellent atmosphere to try out new sounds and meet other like- minded individuals!

Dylan

I would encourage all growing songwriter to take this class. Becca has so much wisdom to share and hearing the growth of the other cohort members was so inspiring.

Coby

I really got so much out of the class! More than anything it gave me permission to be creative and to hear from others on that path, as well as so candidly and sincerely from someone as experienced as Becca was really memorable and impactful. I think it was perfect for my needs.

Jahnavi

I’ve really enjoyed the process of exploring chords until something resonates, diving deeper into Logic, and—perhaps most importantly—realizing that I don’t need to wait for the perfect idea to write a song that I like. I feel genuinely grateful and privileged to have taken part in this songwriting retreat.

Lisa

This is one of the most inspiring musical events for me in recent years. I’ve come to understand myself better—within setting I became much more aware of my defenses, my inclinations, and my strengths. Overall, it was a very psychologically enriching experience. Musically, I realised I’m capable of more than I thought.
